te
Do-re-mi's seventh
Te is the seventh note of a musical scale in solmization (do, re, mi, fa, sol, la, te, do), also spelled ti.
It's the note that resolves upward to do, creating the strongest pull toward the tonic: The choir held the te before resolving to the final do.
