tank traps
Anti-armor defensive obstacles
Tank traps are obstacles designed to stop or slow armored vehicles.
They include concrete barriers, steel hedgehogs, ditches, and rows of angled posts.
The term emerged from World War II defensive fortifications: The beach was lined with tank traps and barbed wire.
Sometimes used figuratively for any impassable barrier.
