Endless speaking event
A talkathon is an extended session of talking, especially one that goes on far longer than necessary or productive.
The word often describes marathon political speeches, filibusters, or meetings that drag on endlessly: The budget committee meeting turned into a six-hour talkathon.
It can also refer to fundraising events built around continuous broadcasting or conversation.
