takeout container
Restaurant meal box
A takeout container is a disposable vessel for transporting prepared food from a restaurant.
The classic form is the folded paperboard box with a wire handle used for Chinese food, but the term covers any container—plastic, foam, aluminum—designed for carrying meals away from where they were made.
I've got three takeout containers in the fridge I keep forgetting about.
