tail whip

A tail whip is a move in BMX biking and scooter riding where the rider kicks the frame or deck around in a full rotation while airborne, catching it to land.

The trick requires timing the spin so the equipment completes its circle before touchdown: He finally landed a clean tail whip after months of practice.

Animals also tail whip—using their tails as weapons or defensive tools: The stingray's tail whip can deliver a venomous sting.
