ta
Casual British gratitude
Ta is an informal British way of saying thank you, light and breezy in tone: Ta for the cuppa.
It's casual enough that using it in formal contexts would seem cheeky or dismissive.
The word appears throughout the Commonwealth but sounds foreign to most American ears.
