t-scores
Normalized test results
A t-score is a standardized score showing how far a value lies from the mean, measured in standard deviations.
In statistics, t-scores are used when sample sizes are small or population parameters unknown: The t-score indicated the result was statistically significant.
In medical contexts, t-scores measure bone density, where negative values indicate bone loss: Her t-score of -2.5 confirmed osteoporosis.
