Wall outlet cover
A switchplate is the flat cover that surrounds a light switch or electrical outlet, concealing the wiring box behind it.
Also called a switch plate, wall plate, or cover plate.
Switchplates come in various materials and finishes, from plain plastic to decorative metal or ceramic: She replaced the old switchplates with brushed nickel ones.
