sugar house
Maple boiling building
A sugar house is a building where maple sap is boiled down into maple syrup, found throughout New England and eastern Canada where sugar maples grow.
The term also applies to facilities where sugarcane is processed into raw sugar, particularly in Louisiana and the Caribbean.
We visited the sugar house during sugaring season to watch them boil the sap.
