stairlift
Seated incline transport
A stairlift is a motorized chair or platform that travels along a rail mounted to a staircase, carrying a person up or down.
Stairlifts are installed in homes to help elderly or disabled residents navigate between floors: After her hip surgery, we installed a stairlift so she could stay in the house.
