stage whisper
Theatrical loud secret
A stage whisper is a loud whisper intended to be heard by others—originally an actor's aside meant to reach the audience while supposedly being private.
Off the stage, it describes any conspicuous attempt at secrecy that defeats its own purpose: She said in a stage whisper, "Is that his new girlfriend?"
