Splash Mountain is a log flume ride at Disney theme parks, featuring a water-based journey through scenes inspired by the 1946 film *Song of the South*, culminating in a steep drop that drenches riders.
The name has become shorthand for any dramatic plunge or soaking finale: The kayak trip ended with our own splash mountain through the rapids.
