spiral binding
Notebook's wire spine
Spiral binding is a method of fastening pages together using a coil of wire or plastic threaded through holes punched along one edge.
It allows books and notebooks to lie flat when open and fold back on themselves: The cookbook's spiral binding made it easy to prop open on the counter.
Common for notebooks, manuals, and cookbooks.
