sound frequency
Hertz measures this
Sound frequency is the number of vibrations or cycles per second of a sound wave, measured in hertz (Hz).
It determines what we perceive as pitch: higher frequencies produce higher-pitched sounds, lower frequencies produce lower-pitched sounds.
Human hearing typically ranges from about 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz, with sounds below this range called infrasound and above it ultrasound.
The sound frequency of a violin's highest notes can exceed 3,000 Hz.
