sodding

Installing lawn sections

Sodding is a British vulgar intensifier used to express annoyance or frustration, functioning much like damn or bloody.

It derives from sod, itself a shortening of sodomite, though in modern use the connection to sodomy has largely faded.

I can't find my sodding keys.

The sodding car won't start.

It's considered rude but not severely offensive—stronger than bloody but milder than fucking.
