slide guitarist
Steel-string slider specialist
A slide guitarist is a musician who plays guitar using the slide technique—pressing a smooth tube of glass, metal, or ceramic against the strings instead of fretting normally.
This produces a gliding, vocal-like tone associated with blues, country, and rock music: Duane Allman was one of the greatest slide guitarists in rock history.
