dobro
Twangy acoustic instrument
A dobro is a type of acoustic guitar with a metal resonator cone built into the body, producing a distinctive bright, metallic tone.
The instrument is played with a slide and held flat across the lap or upright.
Dobros are especially associated with bluegrass and country music: The dobro player added that lonesome, wailing sound to the track.
