signed books
Personally autographed editions
Signed books are copies that bear the author's handwritten signature, typically on the title page.
A signature adds collectible value and personal connection—readers prize them as artifacts of encounter between writer and reader.
Bookstores distinguish between signed copies (signature only) and inscribed copies (signature plus personalized message): The signed books sold out within an hour of the author's appearance.
