book club editions
Subscription volume versions
Book club editions are versions of books produced specifically for book club members, typically sold at reduced prices through mail-order subscriptions.
These editions often differ from trade editions in size, paper quality, or binding—usually smaller and less durable.
Collectors generally consider them less valuable than first editions from the original publisher.
The book club edition lacks the dust jacket artwork of the original.
