sheetrocking

Putting up panels

Sheetrocking is the work of installing sheetrock—the gypsum wallboard panels that form interior walls and ceilings in most modern buildings.

The term covers hanging the panels, taping the seams, and applying joint compound to create smooth surfaces: We spent the weekend sheetrocking the basement.

Also called drywalling.
