A shandy is a drink made by mixing beer with lemonade or another soft drink, typically in equal parts.

Popular in Britain and Europe as a lighter, more refreshing alternative to straight beer: I'll have a shandy—it's too hot for a proper pint.

The American version sometimes uses ginger ale instead of lemonade.
