One-at-a-time relationships
Serial monogamy is the practice of having exclusive romantic relationships one after another, rather than simultaneously or for life.
Each relationship is monogamous while it lasts, but the person moves through multiple partners over time: She's not opposed to commitment—she just practices serial monogamy.
The term often carries slight irony, acknowledging that "till death do us part" has become the exception.
