sensory feedback
Body's information return
Sensory feedback is information the body receives about its own actions and position—the feeling of your feet hitting pavement while running, the sound of your own voice while speaking, the resistance of a key as you press it.
This continuous loop of sensation allows adjustment and coordination: The prosthetic hand provides sensory feedback so users can gauge grip strength.
Without it, even simple movements become clumsy or impossible.
