self-correction
Amending one's mistakes
Self-correction is the act of fixing one's own mistakes without outside intervention.
A student who catches and repairs an error while reading aloud is self-correcting.
The term applies broadly—to human learning, machine systems that adjust their own outputs, and any process that detects and remedies its own faults: The AI's self-correction improved its accuracy over time.
