security seal
Breakable integrity marker
A security seal is a tamper-evident device that shows whether a container, door, or package has been opened.
Common forms include numbered plastic ties on shipping containers, shrink bands on medicine bottles, and adhesive labels that leave visible residue when removed.
The seal doesn't prevent entry—it reveals that entry has occurred: The inspector checked that the security seal was intact before accepting the shipment.
