secretor
Substance emission source
A secretor is a person whose blood-type antigens appear in bodily fluids like saliva and mucus, not just in blood.
About 80 percent of people are secretors.
The distinction matters in forensics, where investigators can determine blood type from saliva on a cigarette or envelope, and in medicine, where secretor status affects susceptibility to certain infections.
