A school holiday is a period when schools are closed and students are not required to attend classes.
These breaks occur at regular intervals throughout the academic year, including summer vacation, winter break, and spring break, as well as shorter closures for national holidays or teacher training days.
In British English, school holiday often refers specifically to the longer vacation periods, while Americans more commonly say school vacation.
