scarecrow festival
Straw figure event
A scarecrow festival is a community event where residents and organizations create and display homemade scarecrows, often in creative or humorous designs beyond the traditional straw-stuffed figure.
Towns set up scarecrows along streets, in yards, and at local businesses, typically in autumn: The village scarecrow festival draws thousands of visitors each October.
Competitions for best scarecrow are common.
