satirical cartoons

Satirical cartoons are drawings that use humor, irony, or exaggeration to critique politics, society, or public figures.

The form combines visual caricature with pointed commentary, often appearing in newspapers and magazines.

Editorial cartoons are the most common type, targeting current events and politicians: The satirical cartoon depicted the senator as a puppet on strings.

The tradition stretches from 18th-century prints to modern political comics.
