sample ballots
Election rehearsal sheets
Sample ballots are unofficial copies of actual election ballots, distributed before voting to help voters familiarize themselves with candidates, measures, and ballot format.
They typically arrive by mail or appear in newspapers, showing exactly what voters will see at the polls: I studied the sample ballot so I'd know how to vote on all those propositions.
Some organizations mark sample ballots with their endorsements.
