rubbishing
Calling it garbage
Rubbishing is criticizing or dismissing something as worthless: He spent the interview rubbishing his opponent's policies.
The term is more common in British than American English.
To rubbish something is to treat it as rubbish—garbage, nonsense, not worth taking seriously.
