ring pulls
Beverage can tabs
Ring pulls are the small metal tabs attached to beverage cans that you lift and pull back to open the can.
The original design detached completely—creating litter and a choking hazard—but modern ring pulls stay attached to the lid.
Also called pull tabs.
I collected ring pulls for a recycling drive.
