riming
Crafting poetic verses
Riming is the present participle of rime, which has two distinct meanings.
One rime is an archaic or poetic spelling of rhyme, so riming means making words that share similar ending sounds: The poet spent hours riming couplets.
The other rime refers to frost or ice crystals that form on cold surfaces, so riming describes the process of becoming coated with hoarfrost, particularly on aircraft or vegetation in freezing fog.
