resurrected

Returned from death

Resurrected means brought back to life after death.

The word derives from Christian theology about Jesus rising from the tomb, but extends to any revival: a resurrected career, a resurrected franchise, resurrected hopes.

Something resurrected has been dormant or abandoned and is now active again: The band resurrected their 1990s sound for the reunion tour.
