resumé

Job application document

A resumé is a document summarizing your qualifications, work history, and education for job applications: Send your resumé to the hiring manager.

The word comes from French for "summary." Also spelled resume or résumé—all three are acceptable, though the accent marks are fading in American usage.

In British English, CV (curriculum vitae) is more common.
