Reskinning is changing the visual appearance of something—especially software, video games, or vehicles—without altering its underlying structure or function.
A reskinned game might feature new characters and graphics while keeping identical gameplay mechanics.
The practice is common in mobile gaming, where developers release essentially the same game with different themes: They just reskinned their puzzle game with a Christmas theme.
