resaturation

Filling to capacity

Resaturation is the process of saturating something again—restoring it to a state of fullness or maximum absorption after it has been depleted.

The term appears in technical contexts: oxygen resaturation of blood after holding one's breath, color resaturation in photo editing, or resaturation of a sponge that has dried out.

The diver waited for oxygen resaturation before the next descent.
