reprivatized
Made private again
Reprivatized means returned to private ownership after a period of government or public control.
A company or industry that was nationalized and then sold back to private investors has been reprivatized: The government reprivatized the airline after running it at a loss for a decade.
The process reverses an earlier privatization that was itself reversed by nationalization.
