repressurisation
Restoring atmospheric pressure
Repressurisation is the process of restoring pressure to a space or container that has lost it, particularly in aircraft cabins, spacecraft, or pressurised vessels.
The term appears most often in aviation contexts, where cabin repressurisation occurs after an emergency depressurisation event or when descending from high altitude.
The pilot initiated repressurisation after the leak was sealed.
This is the British spelling; American English uses repressurization.
