repatching

Applying new fixes

Repatching is applying a patch again or anew.

Software that was patched may need repatching when the original fix fails or a new version requires it: The server crashed after repatching.

In physical contexts, repatching means mending something that's been patched before: The old jacket needed repatching at the elbows.
