repaginating
Numbering pages again
Repaginating is the process of renumbering or rearranging pages in a document.
Word processors and layout software repaginate automatically when content is added or deleted, adjusting page breaks throughout: The program froze while repaginating the 300-page manuscript.
In publishing, repaginating may be done manually to improve layout or accommodate changes.
