reheater

Leftovers revival appliance

A reheater is a device or component that heats something again, most commonly found in power plants where it raises the temperature of steam after it has passed through part of a turbine, improving efficiency.

The term also applies more mundanely to any apparatus that warms previously cooked food, from industrial equipment to the humble microwave.

The power station's reheater section needed maintenance.
