regurgitating

Spewing back out

Regurgitating is the present participle of regurgitate—to bring swallowed food back up, as when birds feed their young or when someone vomits.

Figuratively, to regurgitate information is to repeat it mechanically without understanding or original thought: He's just regurgitating what he read online.

The word carries dismissive connotations when applied to speech or writing.
