reeducating

Correcting prior learning

Reeducating is the present participle of reeducate, meaning to teach someone again or differently—often to change their beliefs, habits, or skills.

The word has neutral uses: She's reeducating herself about nutrition.

But it carries sinister overtones from authoritarian regimes that use "reeducation" as a euphemism for forced ideological indoctrination: political prisoners sent to reeducation camps.
