recommissioned
Put back in service
Recommissioned means put back into active service after a period of retirement or disuse.
The term applies especially to naval vessels and military equipment: The battleship was recommissioned for the Gulf War.
It also describes the formal restoration of authority or function to something previously decommissioned: The power plant was recommissioned after safety upgrades.
