pulpitis
Inflamed dental core
Pulpitis is inflammation of the dental pulp—the soft tissue inside a tooth containing nerves and blood vessels.
It typically results from untreated cavities, trauma, or repeated dental procedures.
Reversible pulpitis causes sensitivity to hot or cold; irreversible pulpitis produces severe, persistent pain and usually requires root canal treatment or extraction.
