protectee
One being shielded
A protectee is someone under protection, typically by security personnel or law enforcement.
The term appears most often in contexts involving bodyguards, the Secret Service, or witness protection programs: The agent stayed within arm's reach of the protectee.
It's the counterpart to protector—the one being guarded rather than the one doing the guarding.
