proof sheet
Pre-publication test print
A proof sheet is a preliminary print made to check quality before final production.
In photography, it shows all images from a roll of film as small thumbnails on a single page, allowing quick review.
In printing, it's a test page checked for errors before the full run: The editor marked corrections on the proof sheet.
