potworms
Tiny white worms
Potworms are small, white, threadlike worms found in soil, compost, and decaying organic matter.
They resemble tiny earthworms and belong to a different family (Enchytraeidae).
Gardeners encounter them in potted plants and compost bins, where they help break down organic material.
Despite their name, they're generally harmless to plants.
