pop-up card
Three-dimensional paper greeting
A pop-up card is a greeting card engineered so that a three-dimensional figure rises when the card is opened.
The effect comes from folded paper mechanisms that lie flat when closed but spring into shape—a birthday cake, a Christmas tree, a heart—when the card opens.
She sent him a pop-up card with a paper bouquet inside.
